Harvest: Tasting 20 grapes, 4 Gran Reserva cavas and a gourmet picnic among the vineyards

It's grape harvest time, and with it comes our signature experience. A tasting of 20 grapes at the vineyard, a tasting of four Gran Reserva cavas that have won multiple awards at the Premis Vinari and the Decanter Awards, and a gourmet picnic among the vineyards. Pere and Marta Guilera, father and daughter, will accompany you throughout the experience.

 

Tasting of 20 grapes:

Pere Guilera, a man with deep roots, planted a collection vineyard with more than 25 grape varieties. Don't miss the opportunity to taste, touch, observe, and understand the unique characteristics of each grape. The texture of the shoots, the shape of the bunches, the thickness of the skin, and the flavor of the grape! A fun and educational way to explore the world of cava that will help us understand the personality of each wine, starting with the raw material: the grape.

 

Tasting 4 Gran Reserva cavas:

We specialize in producing long-aged cavas: Reserva and Gran Reserva. We'll taste the winery's four most representative cavas: two single-varietal 100% Xarel·lo cavas and two traditional Grandes Cosechas cavas. We'll compare the unique characteristics of each type. The single-varietal cavas are more modern, fun, and refreshing. And the traditional ones are more complex, creamy, and profound. All have won awards at the 2025 Decanter Awards:

  • Guilera Network Xarel·la 2015: Silver and 93 points
  • Guilera Green Xarel·la 2012: Silver and 92 points
  • Guilera Musivari 2007: Bronze and 88 points
  • Guilera AGOSARAT 2006: Gold and 95 points

 

Gourmet picnic among vineyards:

At Cava Guilera, we believe cava is the most gastronomic and versatile sparkling wine. That's why we've prepared a selection of quality local products and gourmet preserves from the Iberian Peninsula. So you can enjoy the feast while rediscovering the immense versatility of cava. We like to cater to all tastes, so we offer three options:

  • Original Picnic: Delicatessen cheeses, vegetable pâtés, fuet secallona, pickled boneless quail and gourmet pâté from Penedès. Traditional dessert: glass of rosé reserve cava, carquinyolis and catanias. Minimum 2 people.
  • Vegetarian Picnic: Delicatessen cheeses, vegetable pâtés, black olives, PGI Navarra white asparagus, and fried baby broad beans. Traditional desserts: a glass of reserve rosé cava, carquinyolis, and catanias. Minimum 2 people.
  • Vegan Picnic: Vegetable pâtés [artichoke, carrot with cumin, and eggplant with capers], escalivada (a type of grilled vegetables), black olives, PGI Navarra white asparagus, and fried baby broad beans. Traditional desserts: a glass of reserve rosé cava and nuts. Minimum 2 people.

 

* ATTENTION: If you're celiac, let us know! Some snacks contain gluten, but we have alternatives.

 

SUSTAINABLE TOURISM. We have a Renfe R4 train station a 10-minute walk from the winery. Station: Lavern Subirats. If you arrive by train, we'll send you the cava free of charge. Minimum of 6 bottles, and only within the Iberian Peninsula.
