Guilera Xarel·la is a cava tribute to women and xarel lo: 2018 has been the year of the woman and we have feminized the most important grape variety of Penedès [xarel lo] to celebrate it. Xarel lo is a sustainable 100% rainfed grape variety, exclusive to Penedès and ideal for making long-aging cavas. At Cava Guilera we believe that the prosperity of Cava and Penedès goes through claiming the uniqueness of xarel·lo and our Mediterranean landscapes. And the two monovarietal 100% xarel·lo that we have just presented are a reflection of this ideology.
Guilera Xarel·la tells the story of a cava nymph who wraps herself in a vine liana and goes on urban adventures. Dimitry [artist from Palencia] has been in charge of capturing this story through the label, which we wanted to be very showy and modern. Monovarietal cava 100% xarel lo. Fresh, sinuous and casual, with a touch of sugar that nuances the acidity and makes it rounder on the palate. Fine and fun bubbles, aromas and fruity texture. Ideal for drinks and tapas.
Guilera Xarel·la Green [Brut Nature Gran Reserva 2012]
Monovarietal cava 100% xarel lo. Fresh, versatile and very elegant. Fine bubble, citrus, green apple and a bitter point at the end. Ideal by the glass, with the appetizer and eating. It combines especially well with fish and shellfish.
